I’m living the life of a student, employee, father, and fighter all at once. Things are always interesting. The month of April became a blur of papers, exams, training, and work. Finally the school year is over and that means it’s time for a proper training camp. I am set to fight in June and [...]

Things certainly seem to be coming together for me since I signed with my new manager at Epok Agency. I feel more organized and well supported at this point, and ready for a great 2013 fight year. The last month has been a great shift towards a better routine for school and training. My girlfriend and I have settled in our house which is allowing me to train more often and balance life a little better.

It’s the beginning of Febraury and I am looking for a fight. I hope to be able to announce my next fight in the next few weeks and am training hard for this next step. Training has been going well lately, and is only going to get better over the next two months.

It is January 4th and I am sitting in Pathophysiology. I was just informed that I am the only one to not log in and read the pre-class information. It was a nice start to the new semester, as I smile and tell my teacher I didn’t read it because I just didn’t care enough [...]

I love Christmas time, not just because it is a great time to train but because snowboarding season is in full swing and school is on the back-burner for the time being. For the first time in a long time, I have had a five day break from training filled with snowboarding, family and friends. [...]

This week was a great week of training while frantically studying for finals. Balancing school and training is usually pretty easy but this is finals time and school came first. I was able to get some good training in up here and watch some great fights on the weekend. Benson Henderson and Rory McDonald put [...]

Where to start… My name is Fraser Jordan and I am a mixed martial arts fighter. My road to the pro’s feels like a long one. I wrestled a bit in high school loving the sport but not really understanding what to do with it. I knew I was not going to university, and was [...]

Well, here we are. I started writing this series on may 23rd 2011. In the last 18 months, I have spent countless hours learning what it takes to become a professional fighter. I started off a wrestler, with zero knowledge of jiu-jitsu or striking, but I believed I I had what it took mentally to [...]

It’s funny, I’ve known about this fight for a while now, but last week in Victoria it became real. I was sitting out on a sun deck with my brother and a few friends, when somebody asked how preparation for the fight was coming. I answered with the usual, “it’s going good.” But all of the sudden my [...]

Today is the first day of my MMA career. For the past 2 years I have been training non-chalantly and hoping for the best. While in most cases, “the best” ended up happening; with me winning all of my fights in the middleweight division I knew that my luck would soon run out. So, two weeks ago I quit my job at Tippet Richardson where I was working full time, making OK money and had benefits, in order to start a part time position at the Richmond Sports Club that will allow me to train with Kalib Starnes twice-a-day, every day.
