Alistair Overeem: This fight will be the crown of my achievements

|

At UFC 146 Alistair Overeem will look to take the heavyweight championship away from current title holder Junior Dos Santos in the nights main event. MMAinterviews.tv caught up with the challenger and discussed his opponent and the fact that they have such an evenly matched skill-set. He believes that the fight will come down to strategy and his experience will definitely be a factor.

“I think we’re kind of even. It will all come down to strategy, and maybe the ground will also be a factor in this fight. I’ve had more fights thanĀ Junior dos Santos, and I’ve seen more different styles of opponents. So, I do think that experience is on my side. I do feel that I am going into this fight with an advantage. … It feels like we’re going to make history. I basically have three other belts from three other organizations. Not small organizations, but big organizations – televised organizations. This one would definitely be the crown of my achievements.” – Thanks to Lowkick.com for the transcription.
