Mark Pavelich says MFC done with lightweight division

|

Earlier this afternoon the main event title fight at MFC 34: Total Recall between Adam Lynn and Mukai Maromo quickly became a non-title affair. Maromo made the 155lbs weight limit, however Adam Lynn missed weight (156.6lbs) and was forced to forfeit 20% of his purse and the chance at the MFC lightweight belt.

Following the weigh-ins MFC President Mark Pavelich released a video via his Tout Page and stated,

“My hearts broken today. They missed weight again for the lightweight championship. So, that’s it, we’re going to have no more lightweight division. It’s finished.”

If this is the case then a ton of 155lbs fighters will be looking for a new home. What are your thoughts?
