MMASucka.com is proud to announce a new home for MMA Sucka Radio. Last Tuesday night (October 9, 2012) Trevor Dueck and Jeremy Brand made the announcement on their popular weekly podcast that the show will now be aired on Sportsnet.ca/MMA. Marketing Director Trevor Dueck believes that Sportsnet.ca is the right fit.
We had other people talk to us about maybe streaming our show on their network or site, but for us, Sportsnet made the most sense. This is the beginning of what we hope will turn out to be a great relationship with the Net. They were really the first network in Canada to give MMA a chance. They started showing UFC programming before anyone else, so we feel it’s a natural fit. We want to thank all the great people over at the network for giving us little guys a chance to shine. Showdown Joe Ferraro has done such an amazing job with UFC Central on TV and radio that we hope to add some extra spice in MMA coverage.
There are more changes expected to happen with MMASucka.com and MMA Sucka Radio as they go through some growing pains, but the vibe of the show isn’t expected to change too much.
Do we change our show up a bit? It is something that we are discussing. I think what makes MMA Sucka Radio so interesting is that it’s very free flowing. We obviously love music, we love bringing on interesting guests, and we really like keeping things unscripted. Like all things though it has to evolve and grow up. So over the next few weeks we will be making tweaks to give it a more professional feel, but we are not going to cut the heart out of it. Why mess with a good thing?
Over the coming weeks and months MMASucka.com is going to be going through some re-branding but it will still continue to strive to be one of the premier websites for MMA news in North America.
It’s going to be cool to see what happens over the next few months. We are very fortunate to have such great writers, and supporters. I’m not going to claim that we are the best MMA News site in Canada, or the USA, I think there are some amazing sites out there that we love and respect. However, I will claim this, that we are one of the hardest working. None of this would be possible without our writers, and most of all, without the brains of the operation Jeremy Brand. You have no idea how much that man sacrifices. Thanks to everyone for their constant support. This is just the beginning.
