Nate Diaz signs contract extension with UFC

|

UFC President Dana White tweeted on Monday night that lightweight contender and 209 bad boy Nate Diaz had signed a contract extension.

No word as to the length of the newly signed contract, but the organization tends to ink their fighters to four fight deals.

White confirmed this past weekend that Diaz will in fact face the winner of UFC 150’s main event between Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar for the lightweight championship.

Diaz won The Ultimate Fighter 5 back in 2007 and has fought in both the lightweight and welterweight division. After losing too many in the 170lbs weight class, he decided to make the drop back to the 155lbs weight class. He is now on a three fight winning streak, with victories over Takanori Gomi, Donald Cerrone and Jim Miller.
