HEAD EDITOR/CEO

Jeremy Brand was born and raised in beautiful Vancouver British Columbia. Trained traditional Karate as a child, but moved on to play competitive hockey for the rest of his childhood. From a very young age was very interested in martial arts, embarrassed to say mostly because of movies, such as 3 Ninjas and Karate Kid.  He remembers the exact time and place when he first watched UFC 1. He was sitting in his buddies basement and when we ordered it on Canadian TV we both were super excited to watch it, from that point on he was hooked. In his early 20’s began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Gracie Barra Vancouver and is currently a 1 stripe Blue Belt. Along with doing interviews, articles and editing this website, Jeremy works for the Vancouver School Board with Special Needs children.

  • Jeremy,

I wanted to drop you a line. I actually met you at the River Rock MMA show a few months back. I am the Marketing Director for Honour Combat Championships. We are the organization that put on the fights at the Edgewater Casino back in November. We had Rampage, Denis Kang, Bill Mahood and best of all, Vancouver City Council in attendance. It was a huge success, as we were able to swing some of the City Councilors votes to Yes, Some of them were on the fence, when it came to sanctioning professional MMA. It has been a definite feather in our hat, but all of that is in the past now. We are going bigger.

On May 7th we are going to put on another show for 3000 people outside in the Plaza of Nations. We are partnering up with Edgewater again, and we are bringing on some pretty cool sponsors. We are pouring a lot time and resources into our production. We are extremely lucky to have one of the best local Television Executive Producers in Kevin Walter on our team. We have also just recently added Paul Lazenby to the HCC fold. It’s a pretty exciting time for us.

I’ll cut to the chase, we want you guys to come aboard in some sort of capacity. I’d be interested in chatting with you. Normally I’d attach a couple of PDF’s to give you an idea of where we are coming from. Throw me an email and let’s get some dialogue going.

Secondly, on a personal level, if you guys ever need another writer or radio personality, I’d be totally open to chatting with you about that. I just started writing an MMA Blog, which I’m in the process of re-vamping. I also have a ton of writing experience through copywriting and radio. I attended Columbia Broadcasting Academy for a year and got my diploma in Broadcasting. I can send you a demo and a writing sample if you would like.

Anyway, get back to me about the HCC opportunity. I can send you more information. Thanks Jeremy.

    Cheers!
