Host of MMASucka Radio
Ryan Phillip Lam has been an advid fan of mixed martial arts for the past ten years or so. Although not an active participant, Ryan has always marvelled at what motivates a combatant to challenge themselves to such a degree. Finally, with MMASucka.com & MMASuckaRadio, he will have the opportunity to explore this topic in exciting detail.
The voice of MMASuckaRadio comes to us from an eclecticbackround. Ryan spent most of his teen-dom skipping his gym classes for the theatre department. He would focus on theatre and music until after high school, when he decided to pursue music full time. After being in a variety of different bands he wound up back in school, where he became the President of the Douglas Students Union for two years running. It was in Douglas that he would become more interested in physical fitness. Accepting a role at Financial Services Manager, he found little time to pursue his two passions: fitness & performing. Ryan found himself at a crossroads; would he spent the rest of his life sitting at a desk or take a chance at what he enjoyed? He soon left the bank in pursuit of a career in broadcast journalism. He would study part time at BCIT, learning the basics of announcing as a career.
Ryan stumbled upon an interview with John Howard on MMASucka.com that piqued his interest. On a lark he produced the first episode of MMASuckaRadio and sent it into the website. The following weekend he found himself interviewing Martin “The Hitman” Kampmann! He has not looked back ever since!
Since joining the MMASucka Network, Ryan has found his responisbilities grow from only a Radio host to a contributing editor on the website. He still finds time to create music, but his focus is on MMASucka, bringing the kiddies the latest in the world of Mixed Martial Arts!

Hi there Ryan,
It was very nice to speak to you at the contest finals. You clean up nicely wih a suite
E-mail me what your idea is for the Podcasting. I am pushing through a lot of tour dates for myself ( nine weeks starting next Sunday!), but this sounds real nice to do as a “sometimes guest host” possition when I am in town.
Take care- Lily
